Russians spend more than all other Europeans in Portugal

Wealthy tourists from countries like China, Angola, Brazil and Russia have become the leaders in cash spending in Portugal. According to Global Blue – the leading international company providing the Tax Free service – Russian tourists spend an average of 305 euros per person in one shopping round. The Chinese have taken first place with an average of 560 euros followed by Angolians – 350 euros and Brazilians – 300 euros.

Around 70% of purchases by foreigners in Portugal are made in only ten elite shops. Their list is headed by Louis Vuitton, Ermenegildo Zegna, Prada and Portugal’s own Amorim Fashion.
