The Italians visited the Moscow Committee of Tourism

The Moscow Committee of Tourism held a working meeting of the representatives of the official organizations of Russia and Italy. The head of the committee Sergey Shpilko, the chairman of the committee on entrepreneurship in tourism TPP of Russia Yuri Barzykin and the general director of “Astravel” travel company Valery Loshits met with the president of European board on World culture and nature protection Angelo Paladino and the director of the Touroperators association of small cities of Italy, that are part of the project “UNESCO cities” Felice Vertullo.

The main discussion was on the possibilities of active tourists exchange between small cities of the south of Italy and Moscovites. For the moment there are only drafts of the future activities. The Italians are planning to organize a two-years PR-campaign in the Russian capital, the start will coincide with the celebration of  the hundred and fifty years’ anniversary of the gathering of the Italian lands in 2011. The Italians are planning to publish a catalogue “UNESCO objects in Italy” for that event.

«There will be three events this year, in June, September and at the end of December, during Roman Catholic Christmas. These will be concerts of Italian singers, presentations of the cities of southern Italy that are part of UNESCO world culture heritage. The concerts are planned to be organized in the Chaikovsky Concert Hall, Maly Theatre and Musical Academic Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko», - told RATA-news the commercial director of «Astravel» Alexey Yaroshevsky.

 «Astravel» is the main contractor in this project, the company will organize concerts and presentations. Besides that Mr. Yaroshevsky said that touroperator plans to do a famtrip to Moscow for the Italian guests, representatives of the travel trade.

The possibilities of engaging other partners for example from Russian regions in the project were also discussed at this meeting.
