13 foreign cruise ships to come Murmansk this summer

This summerseason, Murmansk is planning to welcome 13 foreign cruise liners; the first one is coming on June 4th. At least four of them are to moor at the newly reconstructed pier. Passenger terminal is the next to be refurbished.

Murmansk is welcoming foreign liner every summer; last year there were 11 of them with some five thousand tourists onboard. Including Murmansk in the list of Russian ports allowing 72-hour visa-free stay for cruise passengers is vital for further development of cruise industry in the North of Russia.

As of today, most routes are served by icebreakers, some by foreign expedition ships. Over the past years local and foreign tour operators report growing demand to Arctic tourism in Russia.
