Northern Africa Refugees won’t spoil the tourist season in Italy

The Northern Africa refugees issue won’t affect the tourist season in Italy – claims the Italian Ambassador to Russia Mr. Antonio Zanardi Landi. He noted that the number of tourist resorts as well as the refugee camps was quite high. So the migrants from Northern Africa won’t cause any problems for tourists.

He also mentioned that this year Italy expects around 800 thousand Russians, which includes 600 thousand tourists. “We would hardly be able to achieve 60% increase like we did last year, but 40% is quite real” – said the Ambassador – “Plus the fact that many Russians will have to put away their plans to spend the traditional vacation in Northern Africa will definitely contribute to the inflow of tourists to Italy”.
