Tourist flow from Russia to Bali increased by 25.7%

The island of Bali welcomed over a million foreign tourists during the first five months of 2011, which is 6.6% more compared to the same period of the previous year – reports Bali’s Central Statistics Bureau.

At the same time the tourist flow from Russia grew by 25.7%, for the five months the island welcomed 35,853 visitors from our country.

Let us remind you that in the first quarter of the current year the number of Russian tourists on the Indonesian island increased by 26.7% and reached 31.6 thousand people. The total inbound tourist flow to the island grew by 13.4%.

In 2011 Bali set a goal to increase the tourist flow from 2.6 million tourists (in 2010) to 2.8 million. Indonesia intends to attract 7.7 million tourists this year.
