Deputy Director of the sanctuary Mr. Alexander Skripnik has informed “RIA News” that unloading is being made difficult due the weather conditions including complicated ice situation near the shores of the island. “That’s why now it is hard to determine the terms of its finalization, the end of the construction that was planned for the end of October-beginning of November, also may shift”, said Mr. Skripnik. He says that the sanctuary employees, the ship crew and also five members if the company “Arktica” that won the tender for the module constructions delivery is participating in the unloading process. “They have to construct them and connect the life saving systems of the four houses in order to accept tourists at the base and three houses located at different points of the tourist routs”, he added. On these routes, the tourists and sanctuary staff will move in summer using two-wheel all-terrain vehicles “Trakol” and “Argo”, and in winter the apron-wheel all-terrain vehicle “Irbis”
