All rooms for Sochi Olympics sold out
Less than a year before the Olympics, the President of the Sochi-2014 organizing committee Mr. Dmitry Chernyshenko reports
nearly every hotel room in the city to have been fully booked by the Winter Games'
clients.
At a meeting dedicated to the preparation
for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mr. Chernyshenko confirmed that substantially
all contracts with the Games' clients had been signed. In other words, even those
hotels that are still being built have been sold out: "We already know who
is going to stay where. To accommodate the Games' participants, a total of 41 thousand
hotel rooms have been allocated by the organizing committee". Over 20 thousand
of them, including a number of so-called apart-hotels, are still under construction.
