08:07, 25 ноября 2011

The Belgian airline’s winter schedule will feature three new flights from Brussels to Moscow and back. Starting from November 2011 Brussels Airlines will be flying to Moscow ten times a week, and by April 2012 there may be up to 13 services a week. This was announces at the press conference headed by Brussels Airlines Vice President for European sales Mr. Frederic Dechamp. “Increasing of the number of flights was made possible by the extension of bilateral aviation agreement signed by Russian and Belgian governments. We have been looking forward to it for a long time, the negotiations were long, but finally we got the right to do it” – he said.

The airline’s top-managers have been urged to see more flights taking off en route to Moscow as the passenger flow was constantly growing. “Russian market is the most dynamic for us. The total growth of the company’s revenue in 2010 amounted to 23%, while the sales of direct and connecting itineraries from Moscow grew 83%. About 80% of all tickets sold in Russia were purchased through travel companies and only 20% via direct online sales” – explained Mr. Markku Ateela, Brussels Airlines regional manager in Scandinavia and Russia.
