A yacht port for 47 boats
has been opened in a town of Plyos,
Ivanovo Region. The necessity for the port appeared several years ago. According
to Mr. Andrey Chuzhbinin, the deputy chairman of Ivanovo Regional Government, in
charge of construction complex and natural resources, Plyos has been losing tourists
only because there was no place for them to park their boats and yachts; there were
no special berths or floating gas stations. Now a first yacht port is opened, a
second one is under construction and as early as this summer Lukoil opens a refueling
station for small boats on the Volga - reports the web-site of the region's government.
The yacht complex features three rows of mooring boardwalks, of which
the longest stretches for 50 m.
The port will be able to receive boats up to 25 m long. In the nearest future
reinforced-concrete pontoons will be attached to the boardwalks, providing mooring
for small crafts. The complex is connected to powerline and water supply. The port
will operate on 24-hour basis.
