Domodedovo welcomed 500,000,000th passenger

On May 21, 2013 Moscow Domodedovo International Airport celebrated a milestone event – 500,000,000 passengers registered by its automatic systems.

The hero of the day was a German citizen Mr. Christoph Mardt (photo) departing on an Air Berlin's flight to Munich. After discovering the news, he said that he was going to travel four days ago, but changed his ticket for May 21. And not for nothing, as it turned out. "I'll never forget this day," he said while receiving a commemorative certificate and a coupon for free use of the business lounge from the airport's director Mr. Igor Borisov.
