Russsia's prime minister Vladimir Putin has given the head of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Vitaly Mutko, three days to fix problems of Russian tourists, who've travelled abroad with the assistance of Lanta-tour Voyage company – according to last night's wires from information agencies.

During his meeting with Mutko on Tuesday evening in Tambov, Putin said, he didn't see anything criminal with the situation around the tour operator which needs to solve problems with its counter agents abroad. He claimed he'd reached an agreement with one of Russia's state banks, which is ready to loan the needed money to Lanta-tour. According to the agency, this bank is VTB.

«The firm has long been on the market and functioned well. From the first glimpse, there aren't any signs of anything criminal. But of course everything has to be checked”, - said the head of government. Putin outlined: “We’ll be basing on this – this is a purely economic matter”. He added that the difficulties with Lanta-tour emerged quite “unexpectedly”. “Let’s take the easiest route, which would guarantee satisfying the interests, first of all, of our citizens. We need to help the company pay its counter agents abroad, so that our citizens could calmly finish their vacations and return home”, - proposed the prime minister.

Putin’s asked the minister to calculate how much this would cost and do it operationally, adding that it's necessary to quickly work out all the procedures with the Foreign Ministry.

Mutko's promised to try to resolve Lanta-tour's financial issues as soon as literally on the next day. «What do you mean, «try to resolve»? This needs to be worked out ASAP, the bank's ready, so we could say the problem's solved already», - said Putin, adding that «the counter agents of this company shouldn't have any doubts the obligations will be fulfilled».

According to Putin, the next step is to ensure the interests of the state bank. «As far as I understand, this firm's not going anywhere, it's not hiding, on the contrary it's in constant contact with you, ready to cooperate to find a solution. So work on it», - the PM concluded.

Vladimir Putin's also ordered the Ministry of Sport and Tourism to work with other concerned agencies to prepare amendments to the law so that situations like the one with Lanta-tour Voyage would not happen again. The head of government also proposed to «form a self-regulating organization, which would take some of the problems which emerge in such situations on its shoulders». Putin said such an organization could help tour companies solve these problems «directly, between themselves, between insurance organizations, so that citizens won't have to carry this on their shoulders».
