The largest travel trade association in Russia unites tour operators, travel agents, accommodation facilities, transport, insurance, consulting, IT, educational companies, mass media as well as many other tourism-oriented enterprises.
As of today, RUTI represents over 2500 travel-related companies from Russia and other countries. The Union has regional branches all over the country - from Moscow to the Far East and offices in Latvia and Germany.
RUTI was established in 1993 as the Russian Association of Travel Agencies (RATA) (until 2002).
Among the Union's prime objectives is creating a civilized travel market and increasing competitive ability of Russian travel services. The RUTI takes part in law making, carries out marketing, educational, and informational projects, including the RATA-news daily online newsletter, the Just Russia inbound tourism project along with many other activities aimed at development of the country's travel trade and sustaining close and friendly ties with other countries.
RUTI is a member of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and a range of Russian business associations.
