The British airline easyJet started selling
tickets for Manchester - Moscow flights, which will be launched on
March, 28 four times weekly - on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Airbus
A320 with capacity of 180 passengers in single-class layout will be operating
on the route.
When buying a Manchester
- Moscow round
trip ticket most flights are €60-63. For Moscow
– Manchester
flights prices vary depending on the season and are between $43 and $187. One
way baggage transportation will cost €17, meals on board are to be paid for as
well. You can’t return and change tickets.
It will be recalled that according to the
intergovernmental agreement, two companies from each side should carry out
flights between London and Moscow. In October 2012 bmi airline stopped
flying to Russia,
and one place at the British side turned out to be vacant. It was taken by a
budgetary airline easyJet, which promised to make price of London
- Moscow
tickets lower; according to the airline’s trade representative Kathryn Lynn,
the price was obviously overestimated.
As written in the British The Independent, for
the first year of operation the airline plans to carry more than 60 thousand
passengers. An additional flight to Manchester
will allow easyJet to launch new services in Prague
(Czech Republic)
and Thessaloniki (Greece),
as well as to increase the number of flights on popular directions - Santorini
in Greece and Paphos in Cyprus.
